Still life with breads

There will be a new exhibition of my miniatures on 14th May. Since I succesfully sold the most part of the minis of the previous occasion, now I have to work hard to collect some new ones to show. I fell in love with the still life scenes. Here is a new one with breads and baking ingredients. Now I used both black and white background. The black is not black enough, next time I will use some other material.
My favorite things are the scale and the poppy-heads.

I think it's time to make a photo-box. But since I have only a relative cheap camera there is no way I can take better photos.
After the exhibition this scene will be available in my Etsy shop.

I have been looking forward to a new post on your blog. This one is beautiful! I also love the scale and poppy heads but the whole scene together is very lovely. I have a question. I am curious to know how many hours something like this takes you to create?

Thanks a lot! Leslie, I don't know how many hours I spent making this scene, I didn't counted. I know it was ready after three days. I usually work morningly (my daughters aren't at home) and in the evenings (they are in bed). And many many hours searching the net after inspiration!

your work is beautiful so much detail in every piece, the scales are fab where did you get them from ?

Thanks! The scales are my own work as all the pieces in this scene. I found some photos about old scales on the internet and I tried to copy them.

The scale is super good, is it made from polymer clay too??
