My first fish

This is the result of my first try to make a fish, a carp. The body is ok, but I don't like the fins, one of them has even broken off! But I don't give up the fish-making! My father is an obsessed angler, and it would be a shame if he didn't recognize my freak as a carp. The next one has to be better!

Too many grapes!

I made grapes to fill vats and crates the last few days. I think I will not make any of them in the immediate future! Although it doesn't need too much attention to rolling the tiny grapes ( I usually make them on seeing a movie), but sometimes I feel my hands going numb.

Hungarian cuisine is not the healthy type. We like the heavy, meaty, hot meals! So these are two smoked food, ham and sausage.

The followers of my blog are over 150! It's fantastic! It's time for a givaway. I need some day to make arrangements. I make real Hungarian minis for the lucky one, I promise!

And still Autumn

Today I played with my miniatures to arrenge them into an Autumn scene. I named the scene Harvesters' breakfast. I send these photos to The Mini Food Blog hoping to select for showing.

My niece ordered this acoustic guitar for one of her friend as a birthday gift. It was a nightmare to string it!

Yesterday I had a very special guest, Anikó (http://rozsaszinvilagminiaturben.blogspot.com/). She is my very first Hungarian follower, and hadn't met each other earlier. She is a very kind person, the time ran so fast! She brought me a gift into my country porch, a beautiful cock! He is a very cute and brave kind, doesn't realize to be too close to the axe!
It was the first time to have a talk personally with somebody who loves miniatures just like me. Two absolutely mad women! It was very very perfect three hours! I can't wait the next time!

It's still vintage time

A vintage board full of the food of the fall was my old dream, but there was a great problem with it. I can't make any glass item! What's the point of a vintage scene without a wine bottle or glass? The day before yesterday I got the knack of it! In the past there was no any glass bottle on a vintage table only earthen pitcher. So yesterday I made this vintage board. I think this is the best miniature I've ever made.

The porch

These photos were taken some weeks ago, but I've forgotten them. There are still a lot of to do, but it's so great to see the whole scene. It reminds me of my great grandma's house more and more.

Now it's vintage time, so I make many minis about this theme. It's a traditional butt full of grapes (now available on my Etsy shop). I have some other idea in my mind, a wine press is already in making.

Now I go to play a board game with my daughter, Kate. It's the most important thing in this afternoon!

Pumpkins and gourds

The pumpkins and the gourds are ready. They go well with the weather outside. It's really autumn here! Grey sky, pouring rain and only 9°C like in November! We even take the coats leaving the house! It's awful! Children always hate school beginning, but it's worse than ever.
Only making minis can cheer me up!

Bananas

I was inspired by the extra sized bananas I had bought last week. After long studying here are the results.

Next time I will try to make a half peeled one, too. I made some pumpkins and gourds, but they need painting to look like real ones.
The most important part of this post is that

I have sold my very first mini on Etsy!

Thank you very much! A basket of Hungarian peaches has left my country just now to cross the ocean to its new owner.

Autumn fruits

There are so many beautiful and delicious fruits in this season, I had to make some of them. Mostly pears! And I arranged some of my latest fruits into a coiled basket. I love the vivid color of the fruits!
The leeks are a sidetrack, but they have been missed so long from a vegetable basket. I used Angie Scarr tutorial for the leeks, but I modified it a little bit. They would look great with tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers!

They will go into my Etsy store.
Meantime I worked on the country porch. The next step would be making plants for the foregarden, but somehow I haven't taste for it. Perhaps the terrible weather is the cause of my lazyness. I need sunshine for creation! But some pumpkin and gourd would blow away my blues! So I will make pumpkins and gourds, there are so many type of them!

I'm on Etsy!!!

This is a great moment in my miniature life to announce that I'M ON ETSY! I know it's a more than a week I last made a post, but it was a very busy week. I had to arrange all the things my three daughters needed for beginning school and kindergarten year. And I had to make a lot of arrangements for my Etsy shop. Create a new bank account, request a card, make a PayPal account, set up my shop, add items and so on. But it's all over, and the children is ok, my shop is open. You can visit me on Etsy, my name is Hungarian Miniatures.

You could see all the items on my blog before. Wish me good luck!
